Are you having difficulty finding a birthday or Christmas gift for dad? Many people complain that dads are the hardest members of the family to shop for. But finding the perfect day gift doesn't need to be a challenge. There are simple strategies that you can use for finding the perfect dad gift.

This article is all about finding the perfect dad gift. Whether its for his birthday, Christmas, or anniversary, there are certain universal strategies for selecting a dad gift that he will be sure to enjoy and use for years to come.

When it comes to selecting an interesting and unique dad gift, I like to use three strategies. These strategies don't necessarily cover all possible dad gifts, but they do help you zero in on one that he is sure to like.

My first strategy when it comes to selecting a dad gift is to think in terms of what he likes to do. What are his hobbies? What does he like to do for fun? This is important because I believe that the best gifts for dads help them to find new and enhanced ways to do what they already enjoy. If your dad likes to play sports, then a new tennis racket would help him enjoy the game better. If he likes to watch sports on TV, then a new flat screen TV would make a wonderful gift.

Another way to zoom in on an ideal dad gift is to look at the tasks that he doesn't enjoy. What chores does he not necessarily enjoy but needs to do anyway? Then find a gift that helps him take care of these necessary chores in easier or faster ways. Find a way to make his life easier. Great examples include a new chain saw for yard work or a snow blower machine to help him clear the driveway on snowy mornings.

My third strategy takes a little thought and planning, but it pays off big time. Everyone, dads included, have their own little fantasies of things they've always wanted to experience in life. This could be anything from driving a race car, to sky diving, being a cowboy, or swinging a pitches in a baseball stadium. The most memorable dad gift will be one that helps your dad experience one of these life dreams.

You've just learned three strategies for finding the perfect dad gift. All it takes is a little thought and creativity. Find something that helps him enjoy things that he already enjoys or has always wanted to experience, or find a way to make unpleasant tasks faster and easier. You are almost guaranteed to find a dad gift that he will use and enjoy for years. - 39969
